The Ignation Lecture – 2014

Rethinking Catholicity in an Evolving World:  Is the universe ‘catholic’? Sensitive to our world of religious pluralism, this lecture focuses on catholicity as a dynamic principle of attraction or ‘whole-making’ that marks the Big Bang cosmos, biological evolution, and religious evolutionary consciousness, and which breaks open in the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Dr. Delio will discuss the meaning of Jesus in light of evolution and the relationship between catholicity and Christogenesis through the work of Teilhard de Chardin. [1:40:22]
