SUMMARY:Explicitly Embodied: Exploring the Sacred Synergy of Spirit and Psyche with Andrew Del Rossi
DESCRIPTION:Join us Thursday\, April 16\, at 7 p.m. ET for a Center for Christogenesis webinar with Andrew Del Rossi. \nExplicitly Embodied: Exploring the Sacred Synergy of Spirit and Psyche presents an integrative perspective of spiritual growth as an expression of conscious evolution. Drawing on the insight that spiritual awakening is a process of embodiment\, this talk proposes that psyche and spirit mature together through lived\, relational\, and incarnational experience. \nAt the heart of this webinar is Sacred Synergy\, Andrew Del Rossi’s forthcoming book with Paulist Press. The text presents a framework that brings psychology and spirituality into a dynamic and relational dialogue. Engaging the evolutionary mysticism of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin\, the depth psychology of Carl Jung\, and the integrative vision of psychosynthesis articulated by Roberto Assagioli\, the talk demonstrates how inner transformation calls us to participate in a larger cosmological and evolutionary process. Rather than remaining at the level of abstraction or esoteric speculation\, these perspectives are translated into accessible\, real-world applications that address everyday challenges of meaning\, identity\, and wholeness. \nDesigned for both seasoned seekers and those new to exploring the spiritual life\, this webinar emphasizes concrete practices\, examples\, and interpretive tools that nurture authenticity\, joy\, and purpose amid the complexities of contemporary life. By affirming embodiment as the locus of spiritual realization\, Explicitly Embodied invites participants to experience spiritual growth as conscious participation in the sacred unfolding of the universe. \nABOUT ANDREW DEL ROSSI\nAndrew Del Rossi\, ThD is a theologian\, author\, podcast host\, and the Director of the Spirituality and Retreat Center at Daylesford Abbey. His forthcoming book Sacred Synergy: Spiritual and Psychological Growth in an Evolving World is scheduled for release with Paulist Press in May 2026. \nThe recording and transcription will be available to all registrants within one week of the event.

SUMMARY:The Future Belongs to Hope: Scripture\, Science\, and the Direction of the Universe
DESCRIPTION:Join us Tuesday\, May 19\, 2026\, at 1 p.m. ET for a Center for Christogenesis webinar with Robert Nicastro. \nMany of us were taught to think of hope as a feeling\, something we muster when times are hard. But what if hope is actually written into the structure of reality itself? Ancient scripture and cutting-edge science point toward a remarkable idea: that the universe is not wandering aimlessly but converging\, through ever-deepening complexity and consciousness\, toward a greater wholeness still ahead. The great biblical traditions were never simply predicting the end of things. They were describing the shape of time: open\, unfinished\, and charged with possibility.  \nIn this webinar\, we bring that ancient wisdom into conversation with some of the most visionary theological thinking of the modern era\, and ask what it means for us today\, in a world gripped by fear\, exhausted by uncertainty\, and aching for a credible future. \nAll registrants will receive a copy of the recording within a week of the event.

SUMMARY:Cosmos\, Chaos and the Complexities of Consciousness
DESCRIPTION:A Live Conversation with Ilia Delio and Cynthia Bourgeault \nWe are living through a moment of profound fracture. Politics\, war\, the rise of AI\, racism\, colonialism\, immigration\, climate collapse — beneath every headline lies a deeper crisis: a fragmented consciousness struggling to comprehend itself in a rapidly changing world. \nWhat if these are not separate emergencies\, but symptoms of the same evolutionary threshold? What if chaos itself is part of how a new consciousness is being born? \nJoin two of today’s most visionary voices — theologian Ilia Delio and mystic teacher Cynthia Bourgeault — for a bold\, hope-filled conversation about the spiritual story unfolding inside our global unraveling. Together\, they will explore how the cosmos\, chaos\, and consciousness are deeply intertwined — and what it means to live awake\, whole\, and engaged in a world crying out for transformation. \nAll registrants will receive the recording.

SUMMARY:Bending the Universe Towards Love with Ilia Delio
DESCRIPTION:Join Sr. Ilia Delio on June 24\, 7-8:30 PM (UK) for a webinar hosted by The Scientific & Medical Network. \nAre We Disconnected From the Core Energy of Love?\nPierre Teilhard de Chardin was a French Jesuit priest and palaeontologist whose writings integrate evolutionary religion and evolution: work that was suppressed during his lifetime but has become a touchstone for anyone seeking to hold scientific and spiritual worldviews together. Teilhard believed the universe is not winding down but unfolding toward ever-greater consciousness\, driven by what he called a core energy of love woven into the fabric of matter itself. \nDrawing on Teilhard’s vision\, this talk argues that love is not merely a sentiment but a cosmological force: one that calls us to awaken by recognising the whole within ourselves and in the world around us. When we lose sight of that inner-outer unity\, we fall into the fragmentation that lies at the root of so much contemporary moral confusion: tribalism\, ecological indifference\, a sense of meaninglessness. \nThis matters now because we live in a moment when both science and spirituality are asking convergent questions about consciousness\, interconnection\, and purpose. Yet\, most public conversation treats them as separate or opposed. \nWhat if the divide between science and the sacred has always been smaller than we were told\, and closing it could change everything about how you see yourself and the world around you? \nThis talk will be followed by a live Q&A with Prof. Ilia Delio. \nTo register and learn more visit the event page. SUMMARY:Scripture\, Mystery\, and Embracing Uncertainty - With Pete Enns
DESCRIPTION:We live in a world that rewards certainty\, yet the deepest questions of life resist easy answers. The Bible itself bears witness to people who encounter God not through clarity and control but through mystery\, paradox\, and transformation. In this webinar\, we will look into a fresh exploration of Scripture as a guide not to certainty but a pathway to a different kind of knowing where faith can flourish amid ambiguity and change. Rather than seeing uncertainty as a spiritual failure\, we will explore how it can become a doorway to deeper trust\, greater openness\, and a richer experience of the sacred presence that permeates all things. \nPeter Enns (Ph.D. Harvard University) is Abram S. Clemens professor of Biblical Studies at Eastern University (St. Davids\, PA). He has written several books including The Bible Tells Me So\, The Sin of Certainty\, How the Bible Actually Works\, and his latest Curveball: When Your Faith Takes Turns You Never Saw Coming. Pete is also cohost of the popular podcast The Bible for Normal People. The focus of his work centers on understanding the Bible as an ancient text and thinking through what it means to read that ancient text well today.

SUMMARY:Process Metaphysics
DESCRIPTION:Ready to rethink reality?  \nAgainst the old view of a mechanistic world\, process philosophy teaches that reality is alive and evolving. \nIn this immersive two-week survey course\, we’ll consider the history and development of process philosophy\, beginning against the backdrop of ancient Greek metaphysics\, medieval theology\, and the modern conception of nature as a machine. In particular\, we will examine the thought of F.W.J. Schelling\, A.N. Whitehead\, and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. \nThis course aims to bridge the Continental and Anglophone traditions. We’ll place Whitehead’s groundbreaking concepts in direct conversation with Schelling’s philosophy of nature and Teilhard de Chardin’s evolutionary cosmic vision. \nIf you want a general introduction to the history and main ideas of the process tradition as a foundation for further study\, this course is for you. \n\nCourse Structure:\n4 Recorded Lectures\n2 Live Discussions on Zoom (Thursday\, September 17 at 9:00 am & Friday\, September 25 at 7:00 pm)\n(All live discussions will be recorded and made available to participants)

SUMMARY:Human Flourishing in a World of Trauma and Stress - With Heidi Ann Russell
DESCRIPTION:How do we build communities of healing in a world shaped by trauma and stress? \nViolence\, war\, displacement\, and a global pandemic don’t only wound individuals; they mark whole communities\, and their effects ripple across generations. Meanwhile\, research into the brain and nervous system continues to reshape what we know about how harm lodges in the body and how healing actually happens. Our theology has to be able to meet those findings honestly. \nIn this webinar\, pastoral theologian Heidi Ann Russell draws on her book Human Flourishing in a World of Trauma and Stress to offer a theological anthropology built for this moment that puts long-standing questions of freedom\, sin\, and grace into genuine conversation with contemporary trauma science. What does human freedom mean when the nervous system is doing much of the deciding? How do we talk about sin without adding shame to injury? Where does grace show up in a body that has learned to brace? \nEqual parts theological and practical\, this conversation is for pastors\, chaplains\, spiritual directors\, lay leaders\, caregivers\, and anyone asking what flourishing can mean on the other side of harm. \nAbout our Presenter:\nHeidi Ann Russell\, PhD\, is an associate professor at the Institute of Pastoral Studies of Loyola University Chicago. She holds a PhD in religious studies from Marquette University and an MDiv/MA from Washington Theological Union. Her books include The Source of All Love: Catholicity and the Trinity (Orbis Books\, 2017) and Quantum Shift: Theological and Pastoral Implications of Contemporary Developments in Science (Liturgical Press\, 2015).

SUMMARY:Journey to Greece with Ilia Delio
DESCRIPTION:This is a ten-day in-person educational experience with Ilia Delio we’re sharing on behalf of Thalassa Journeys. To inquire or for more information contact our partners via phone or email. \nDownload this brochure .pdf for the full itinerary and program description. \n \nDear Friends\, \nThe ancient Greeks are rightfully credited as the founders of Western science\, not because they had microscopes or laboratories\, but because they fundamentally invented the method of scientific inquiry. Between roughly the 6th century BCE and the 4th century BCE\, Greek philosophers developed the revolutionary idea that the natural world operates according to intelligible principles that human reason could discover. This shift from mythological explanation to rational investigation marks the birth of science as we know it. The earliest Greek thinkers\, known as the Pre-Socratics\, initiated this intellectual transformation by daring to ask: what is the world fundamentally made of\, and how does it work? Rather\nthan accepting traditional mythological accounts of creation and divine intervention\, figures like Thales\, Anaximander\, and Heraclitus sought material and rational explanations. Thales of Miletus (c. 624-546 BCE)\, often considered the first Western philosopher\, proposed that water is the fundamental substance of all things—a claim that seems quaint to modern ears\, but nevertheless a search for a unifying principle based on observation rather than mythology. Socrates (469-399 BCE) left no written works\, but his method of questioning\, dialectic reasoning\, and the relentless pursuit of truth through logical argument—became foundational to scientific methodology. He insisted that truth could be discovered through careful reasoning rather than authority or tradition and established the intellectual rigor that science requires. Plato made profound contributions by emphasizing that beneath the changing physical world exists an underlying mathematical order. His Theory of Forms suggested that the material world imperfectly reflects eternal\, unchanging abstract principles. In short\, early Greek thinkers were significant contributors to a new age of consciousness that provided the foundation for modern science. For them\, science was a form of natural philosophy\, a means of reflecting on the deep questions of existence and purpose. \n \nWe invite you to join us on a journey of discovery that retraces the footsteps of these remarkable thinkers. Our carefully curated travel experiences will take us to the ancient sites where Greek philosophy was born—from the bustling agora of Athens where Socrates engaged his students in dialectic debate\, to the Temple of Apollo at Delphi\, where “Know Thyself” remains inscribed for all seekers of wisdom. We will walk through the ruins of the Lyceum where Aristotle founded his school\, visit the island of Samos where Pythagoras established his community of learners\, and explore the temples and theaters where these philosophical traditions were woven into the fabric of Greek life. By experiencing Greece not as mere tourists\, but as intellectual pilgrims\, we will gain a profound appreciation for how these ancient thinkers help shaped the world we inhabit today. Whether you are a student of history\, a philosophy enthusiast\, or simply someone curious about the roots of Western thought\, I am sure this journey will enrich your understanding and inspire your own pursuit to know the human experience in a vast and awesome universe. \nSincerely\,\nIlia Delio\, OSF\, Ph. D. \nDownload this brochure .pdf for the full itinerary and program description.

SUMMARY:Is Love Indestructible? - With Thomas Jay Oord
DESCRIPTION:If God is love and love is uncontrolling\, how should we think about God’s power? How could a God of love create a world with so much suffering?
