SUMMARY:Whitehead’s Universe (Group B Launch)
DESCRIPTION:This is a five-week rolling course throughout 2026 with our partner and friend at the Center for Process Studies\, Andrew Davis. Please learn more\, contact and register at whiteheadsuniverse.com. \nDr. Andrew M. Davis’s five-week online introduction to Whitehead’s Universe is returning in 2026! \n“Process philosophy” is wider than any single thinker\, yet Alfred North Whitehead (1861–1947) remains its defining figure for the modern world. His “philosophy of organism” offers a profound vision of reality as dynamic\, relational\, and always alive with possibility and value. His wife Evelyn once compared his thought to a prism: “It must be seen not from one side alone but from all sides…as one moves around it\, the prism is full of changing lights and colors.” \nThis course invites students\, lifelong learners\, and the philosophically and theologically curious to explore the many sides\, lights\, and colors of Whitehead’s universe—ranging from the microscopic to the cosmic\, and always in relation to human experience as an expression of the cosmos. \nCourse Structure & Schedule\nThe course unfolds over five live Zoom sessions\, running on a rolling schedule throughout 2026. Two initial iterations with respective US Pacific and US Eastern groups are now open for registration: \nJanuary-February \nGroup A: Meets Wed\, 5:30-7:30 PM\, PST (1/14\, 1/21\, 1/28\, 2/4\, 2/11).\nGroup B: Meets Fri\, 5:30-7:30 PM\, EST (1/16\, 1/23\, 1/30\, 2/6\, 2/13). \nMarch-April \nGroup C: Meets Wed\, 5:30-7:30 PM\, PST (3/4\, 3/11\, 3/18\, 3/25\, 4/1).\nGroup D: Meets Fri\, 5:30-7:30 PM\, EST (3/6\, 3/13\, 3/20\, 3/27\, 4/3). \nReadings & Resources\nPrimary readings are provided and are drawn from Dr. Davis’s forthcoming book Whitehead’s Universe: A Prismatic Introduction. Supplementary readings are also available for those who wish to dive deeper. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to contribute to weekly forum discussions and a write a short concluding paper. \nWhy Join? \n\nEngage directly with Whitehead’s transformative vision in an accessible yet rigorous way.\nParticipate in live discussions with a close community of seekers and lifelong learners.\nReceive early access to draft materials from Dr. Davis’s upcoming book.\nExplore one of the most creative and relational visions ever to emerge in the history of philosophy and theology.\n\nWhat Are Students Saying? \n\n“…I want to say how incredible our Whitehead course was. I am still reeling from all I learned…”\n“…Your lectures and your book in progress have been everything I hoped they would be\, and more.”\n“I immensely enjoyed the class and especially love the very approachable engagement with metaphysics in your book!”\n“Your class was transformative for me.”\n\n  \nFor more information\, download the syllabus and register at whiteheadsuniverse.com.

SUMMARY:Activating Cosmogenetic Experience with Brian Thomas Swimme
DESCRIPTION:This is the start of an eleven-week course throughout with our friend Brian Swimme and organized by Deeptime Network. Please learn more\, contact with questions or register at the event page on our partner’s website. \n\nA New Structure of Experience is arising\nOur course is based on the premise that a new structure of experience is giving rise to a new form of humanity. All leaps in being began with a new form of experience. In our present leap\, the new form is identified as “cosmogenetic experience“ and as “time-developmental experience.” Experience is understood as the primary mode in which reality becomes present to human consciousness. Experience is prior to any concepts or ideas concerning reality. Experience comes first and establishes a new civilization with new ideas and institutions. Consciousness is understood as the capacity of perceiving one’s own inner states.

SUMMARY:Does God Need Us?
DESCRIPTION:The St. Catherine of Siena Lecture will be given online and in-person by Ilia Delio for our partner The Well Spirituality Center\, co-sponsored by The Siena Center of Dominican University. \nClassical theology states that God freely creates\, that is\, God creates with no other motive than God’s own desire and delight. God is in relationship with us but does not depend on us. Teilhard de Chardin reflected on God’s relationship to the world and concluded that God and the world are in mutual relationship. God is not so much delighted by the world but dependent on the world for God’s own fullness of life. We will explore Teilhard’s insights with regard to the significance of the cosmic Christ\, Christian life\, and the Church. \nA recording will be available to registrants via email approximately 3 business days after the program. \nTo purchase tickets and learn more visit the event page. Please contact The Well Spirituality Center with questions.

SUMMARY:Ask Me Anything with Ilia Delio
DESCRIPTION:This is an online webinar with Ilia Delio for our partner Human Energy. \nJoin Human Energy for an enlightening “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session with renowned theologian and scientist\, Ilia Delio\, on Friday\, March 14th. This event offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with a leading voice at the intersection of science\, religion\, and human consciousness. \nEvent Focus: The Noosphere and the Integration of Science and Religion\nIn this AMA\, we will delve into themes from Ilia’s recent presentation at the N2 2024 Conference\, titled “Teilhard’s Noosphere: Why Evolution and Religion Belong Together.” She explores the concept of the noosphere—a term introduced by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin to describe the sphere of human thought and collective consciousness—and discusses the intrinsic relationship between matter\, consciousness\, and the spiritual energy driving evolution. Ilia emphasizes the need for a holistic understanding of science and religion as complementary forces shaping the future of humanity and the planet. \nAbout Human Energy\nHuman Energy is dedicated to fostering thoughtful dialogue at the intersection of technology\, consciousness\, and society. We aim to help humanity recognize that evolution is advancing toward a greater collective potential and to cultivate a unified vision for the flourishing of both our species and our planet. Our mission is to advance interdisciplinary scientific research on the future of collective consciousness\, bringing renewed meaning\, direction\, and values to our increasingly interconnected world.\nDon’t miss this opportunity to engage with Ilia Delio and explore the profound connections between science\, religion\, and the future of human consciousness. \nFor more information and to submit questions visit the event page on our partner website.

SUMMARY:Old God\, New God: New Theologies with Ilia Delio (Session 1/2)
DESCRIPTION:This is a two-session online webinar series with Ilia Delio for our partner the Spiritual Life Center. \nMonday\, February 10\, 7–9PM: At the first session\, Dr. Delio will discuss how new discoveries in science\, such as quantum physics\, open up new theological understandings. Ilia will invite participants to see the cosmos as a sacred whole\, where the universe is in God and God is in the universe (while God is also more than the universe). \nMonday\, February 17\, 7–9PM: At the second session\, Dr. Delio will discuss how these new developments in theology support our engagement with a personalized and relational universe. Anyone for whom ancient doctrines of God and mechanistic views of the universe are limiting will find “Old God\, New God” intriguing. This program will foster valuable understanding for those who want to nurture their connection with the divine whether within or outside a religious context. \nWherever you are on life’s journey\, you are welcome to this event. \nFor more information and to register visit the event page on our partner’s website.

SUMMARY:Whitehead's Universe
DESCRIPTION:We are happy to share this upcoming workshop series hosted by our friend\, Andrew Davis. \nA Five-Week Introductory Course for the Philosophically and Theologically Curious \nThis course will be offered on a rolling five-week schedule throughout 2025. For the first iteration\, running from mid-January to mid-February\, two U.S. groups (Group A & B) and one international group (Group C) are available for registration\, each limited to 20 students. For more information about the course outline and dates visit their website link in the side tool bar. \n“Reality is not static: it is a process of becoming. The fluent character of the togetherness of things was already emphasized in Greek philosophy: All things flow\, said Heraclitus. Indeed the fact is too obvious to escape notice. But unfortunately things which are too obvious often escape receiving their due emphasis” — Alfred North Whitehead \nCheck out the course teaser video. \nAbout the Teacher: \nAndrew M. Davis\, Ph.D. is an American process philosopher\, theologian\, and scholar of cosmological wonder. He is the academic and research director for the Center for Process Studies where he researches\, writes\, teaches\, and organizes conferences on various aspects of process-relational thought (Whitehead and Beyond). An advocate of metaphysics and meaning in a hospitable universe\, he approaches philosophy as the endeavor to systematically think through what reality must be like because we are a part of it. He is the author\, editor\, and co-editor of nearly a dozen books including Mind\, Value\, and Cosmos: On the Relational Nature of Ultimacy\, Process Cosmology: New Integrations in Science and Philosophy\, and Metaphysics of Exo-Life: Toward a Constructive Whiteheadian Cosmotheology. This course is based upon drafts of his next book\, Prismatic Universe: An Introduction to Alfred North Whitehead.

SUMMARY:The Noosphere and the Global South Conference
DESCRIPTION:This December\, 16-18\, 2024 immerse yourself in this important dialogue and participate in this free live-stream of the Noosphere and the Global South Conference hosted by Human Energy. \nAs part of this Conference\, Ilia Delio presents\, Teilhard’s Noosphere: Why Evolution and Religion Belong Together. \nThe Noosphere is our present reality of complexified matter and global consciousness. Scientists mapping the Noosphere show grids of interconnections that reveal a formative pattern of a higher-ordered collective. Teilhard de Chardin envisioned this pattern almost a century ago\, but he saw that emerging complexified wholeness cannot be adequately sustained without religion. He did not conceive religion as a confessional set of doctrines but the depth dimension of all reality\, the search for ultimate meaning\, and the state of being grasped by ultimate concerns. “Religion and evolution\,” he said\, “are destined to form one single continuous organism\, in which their respective lives prolong\, are dependent on\, and complete one another.” Religion is the biological response to the emergence of spiritual energy. His sense of religion\, therefore\, is experiential and supports faith in the future. The true function of religion is to sustain and spur on the progress of life. In his view\, no one religion can satisfy the religious spirit of the earth and its evolution towards Omega. If religion is a biological phenomenon\, what is religion on the level of emerging Noosphere? Science has significantly advanced the Noosphere but without a rebirth of religion\, the future is fragile. \nRegistration is free for all participants. You must register in advance to attend the event in person. (See link in side panel) \n*All presentations will be live-streamed for open access. \nWatch the invitation to the Conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdkHTdotR-M

SUMMARY:Teilhard's Omega Point: Does Evolution Have Direction?
DESCRIPTION:Jesuit scientist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin proposed a cosmic vision of evolution governed by the principle of Omega.  Confusion around his use of this symbol has led to speculative ideas\, including a terminal point of evolution. \nIn this talk\, Ilia will explore Teilhard’s notion of Omega as a governing principle of increasing complexity and consciousness\, accompanied by increasing spirit and the energy of love. The Omega principle provides a framework to discuss a possible direction of evolution. \nHow to participate? \n\nJoin Steve McIntosh’s Zoom group – the Zoom group is a monthly forum on the evolution of consciousness and culture. Steve and his guests focus on philosophy\, politics\, spirituality\, and related topic of intellectual interest to the group. Through conversation and fellowship\, we’re building a free cultural space for the exploration of integral consciousness.

SUMMARY:The Unfinished God in a Techno-Driven Universe presented by WCCM
DESCRIPTION:Technology is our fastest evolver today and it is radically changing our world. In centuries past\, religion dominated culture because it stabilized society and advocated norms of unity. \nHas technology come to replace religion in our own time?\nI will explore how technology and religion share the same root source\, the unbounded fields of infinite potential\, the ground of which is God. \nIf we cannot imagine that religion takes shape in technology\, then we have eliminated the religious depth dimension of the most significant development in human becoming. \nVisit link for costs and timing. \nThis is a partner event with WCCM Meditation & Community

We will be offering meditation at the start of each day\, yoga at lunchtime and healthy plant based snacks with our teas and coffees. \nWe are also encouraging you to join us for a potluck lunch – inviting you to bring a salad\, or some other offering\, to share with others. \nEach event will be a chance to form a small community for that weekend and get to know new people\, as well as being exposed to the wisdom of our visiting facilitators. \nThe events will run a little earlier than last year\, giving people more time at the end of the day. We will start on the Saturday at 9.00am MT and have a lunch break at 11.30- 12.30. The day will finish at 3pm. \nOn each of the Sundays we will be joined by the Aspen Chapel Community as we gather at 9.30am. There will be an hour together with Q&A to integrate the weekend. We will then have a reception afterwards. This Sunday portion is free and open to all. The Saturday Retreats are all $80\, with the live streaming cost set at $65. There are substantial reductions for subscribing to more of the events. \nThe program will be introduced on February 1st  6-8pm by Rabbi Shira Stutman\, who is working with our friends at the Aspen Jewish Congregation. She will be talking about ‘Gender and the Divine – He/She/It/Them/They?’ Click here for details \nThis is followed by:\nCynthia Bourgeault (February 17th) \nIlia Delio (April 13th) \nHeather Vesey (April 27th) \nSusan Aposhyan (May 18th) \n(Click on each of the names to go to their pages.) \nOnce again\, the events will be both ‘in person’ and ‘online’ with substantial discounts for booking all 4 main speakers.
