SUMMARY:The God Who Is Still Coming... Perhaps
DESCRIPTION:What if Advent isn’t remembering an arrival\, but still expecting one?  Advent is the season of the not-yet. The church spends four weeks waiting for something that has\, in some sense\, already happened — and in another sense\, hasn’t happened yet at all.  Ilia Delio and John Caputo have each spent a career on waiting. Delio\, a Franciscan theologian\, sees a universe still being born\, a Christ still taking shape in the unfinished work of evolution. Caputo\, a philosopher of the weak and the wavering\, asks what it means to hope for something you cannot name\, promise\, or guarantee. Join them for an evening on waiting\, evolution\, deconstruction\, and the possibility that Advent names not a memory but an arrival still underway.
